Beauty has always been a passion of mine. My earliest memory related with makeup was my mother's cosmetic pouch. It was a small, grey and there were only two products and one tool inside - a classic red lipstick, a black kajal she bought from Syria and a lash curler. Her makeup was simple. She would curl her eyelashes without adding on mascara and she would smudge some kajal around her eyes. It was fascinating for me the way she used to apply the lipstick not only on the lips, but on the cheeks and the eyelids as well.

For me it all started as a hobby, a favour for my friends on their special occasions. I was a full time student in the architectural school in my home town Sofia and a makeup and hair stylist in the weekends. My professional career began as a beauty consultant in Sephora where I acquired invaluable experience and had the opportunity to attend training led by the prestigious international makeup artists Dani Sanz, the founder of Makeup Forever and Gilbert Soliz, the head makeup artist for Marc Jacobs Beauty.

Being promoted as a makeup artist only few months after joining the company gave me the courage to pursue a career as a freelancer. I then attended a professional makeup and hair styling course in The Academy of Freelance Makeup in London, where I was taught by the industry's leading makeup artists and hair stylists. Carolyn Roper, a Double Body Painting World Champion and one of the World's leading body artists, Philippe Miletto, the former head makeup artist for Shu Uemura in Paris and Jan Przemyk, who was Toni&Guy's London academy director and a key member of the creative team, were only few of the excellent tutors I had the chance to be trained by.

Following the course, I was very fortunate to team up with London HOUSE Studio and their boutique modelling agency, Novelmodels Elite, led by the incredible artist and photographer Adrenus Craton and work on several projects with them, which gave me the opportunity to build up my portfolio, refine my skills and establish a freelance career.
